This two day negotiating skills course is for managers, team leaders, consultants and others involved in negotiations. Derek Stockley is a training consultant with a passion for improving individual and organisational performance.

Negotiation Skills Program

This public training course held in Melbourne concentrates on the knowledge and skills required for successful private and commercial negotiations. The strategic focus is on the content and process of negotiations - what is involved and how it is done.

Participants will be prepared for negotiations with both internal and external parties.

The course involves learning the key elements of the negotiation process and providing participants with the skills to conduct negotiations. This involves assimilating knowledge and applying that knowledge in practical exercises.

  • When to use them, when to avoid them.
  • Dealing with difficult people.
  • Staying alert to your needs when under pressure.
  • Knowing when to discontinue negotiations.
  • How to determine the upper and lower limits of the negotiation.
  • Knowing when and how to say no.

Strategic Management of the Negotiation Process

  • Identifying strengths and weaknesses at each stage of the process.
  • Planning, preparing, adjusting and reviewing the negotiation procedure.

Fees

The fee includes morning and afternoon tea, a light lunch and all course materials and participant notes. The course fees for participation in the same course on the same dates are:

One participant: $1095
Two participants: $2150 ($1075 each)
Three participants: $3165 ($1055 each)
Each additional participant, $1055 each.
These fees include GST

Please note: an additional $20 per person discount applies for past public course participants, multiple course enrolments at the same time (different programs) or participants from past or current clients of Derek Stockley Pty Ltd - only one extra discount per person applies. Please claim your discount (with reasons) on the registration form.

The number of people for each course is limited to a maximum of twelve.
